Artur began injectable drug use at the young age of 19. His parents cried over the criminal lifestyles of their sons and hoped a change would come, but as years passed by the heartache continued. Artur moved into harder drugs such as crocodile and at 40 buried his brother for the same kind of substance abuse. This tragic loss brought Artur to his senses for a time and he chose to go to rehabilitation, only to relapse when his wife requested a divorce. Artur found it all too challenging to cope with the various pain and loss overwhelming him and sought help.

Today, Artur is taking steps to be a healthy, whole father to his 8 and 18-year-old sons. He is living in repentance and choosing to become clean and sober. Artur has not used in two months and, in his words, “I am trusting God with my future and taking this day by day.” Teen Challenge stands alongside Artur in recovery, reconciliation, and redemption. He is 46 years old and, in Christ, we know the best is yet to come!
